Jerry Silva is research director for IDC Financial Insights responsible for the global retail banking practice. Mr. Silva’s research focuses on technology trends and customer expectations and behaviors in retail banking worldwide. Mr. Silva draws upon over 25 years experience in the financial services industry to cover a variety of topics, from the back office, to customer channels, to governance in the technology shops at financial institutions. His work for both institutions and vendors gives Mr. Silva a broad perspective in technology strategies.

Previous Experience: Previously, Jerry ran his own technology consulting company, PG Silva Consulting, assisting both vendors and institutions with the development, marketing, acquisition and deployment of technology solutions in financial services. Prior to that, Mr. Silva was responsible for product strategy at S1 Enterprise in Atlanta, creating solutions for consumer and small business online banking, mobile banking, and payments. Jerry was also research director at Boston-based TowerGroup, where he helped create and grow a successful retail banking research practice. His banking background includes 16 years of direct experience running technology shops and transformational projects for First Chicago, BayBank, and BankBoston.

Phil Minasian

TCS Global Industry Lead

Phil leads TCS Digital Software & Solutions Group’s (DS&S) industry efforts across the banking, retail and telecommunications verticals. He brings to DS&S a wealth of experience cutting across top-tier strategy consulting and operating experience, as well as depth in multiple disciplines from strategy and marketing to product management and front line performance management.

Previous Experience: Prior to TCS, Phil was VP Strategy & Analytics at PCD, a mobile device distributor, where, with the CEO, he spearheaded a corporate transformation centered on leveraging analytics to streamline operations and improve PCD’s ability to serve its customers. Prior to PCD, Phil was a Senior Executive Advisor at Katzenbach Partners and at Booz & Company. Phil also led the North American IT, tech and telecom practices at Monitor Group, a leading corporate and business strategy consultancy.
